Summer Cecile Davis of Goldsboro and Tyler William Lancaster of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 15 at 7 p.m. at Goldsboro Country Club, with the Rev. Richard Glosson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Diane Massengill of Goldsboro and the late Robert Arnold Davis of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Lily Davis and the late Arnold Davis of Fremont and the late Cecil and Velma Gay of Pikeville.

She is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She is employed as a teacher with Wayne County Public Schools.

The groom is the son of Mark and Bonnie Lancaster of Pikeville and the grandson of Edward and Marjorie Wooten of Goldsboro and the late Bill Lancaster and the late Paul Lane of Pikeville.

He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School. He is employed at Firestone of Wilson.

The bride wore a strapless white satin and taffeta gown with beaded metallic lace on the bodice and a pick-up skirt and a chapel train.

Her headpiece was a rhinestone tiara with a single-tiered veil.

The bride carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and assorted pink and purple flowers.

Christy Frazier was her sister’s matron of honor.

Kristan Tyndall, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.

Mark Lancaster was his son’s best man.

Brett Lancaster; brother of groom, was the groomsman.

Ushers were Brett Lancaster, brother of groom, and Jason Frazier; brother-in-law of bride.

Angie Gardner directed the wedding. Blake Ferrell greeted guests.

Haley Gardner was a special helper.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Goldsboro Country Club.

After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple reside in Goldsboro.

Events held before the wedding included a shower at the home of Corbett and Amanda Cummings hosted by Mrs. Cummings and Kelly Matthews.
