Hartley - Kilpatrick
SEVEN SPRINGS — Jennifer Lee Kilpatrick of Fuquay-Varina and Sgt. 1st Class James Henry Hartley Jr. of Fuquay-Varina exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Jan. 1 at 3 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas Franklin Kilpatrick II and Jennie Britt Kilpatrick of Seven Springs and the granddaughter of Jewel Kilpatrick and the late Thomas Franklin Kilpatrick of Seven Springs and Doris Britt and the late T.K. Britt of Grantham.
She graduated from Southern Wayne High School and Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She is employed as a reports developer at 1-800-PACK-RAT.
The groom is the son of Billie Rose Parker of Hope Mills and the late James Henry Hartley Sr. of Cocoa Beach, Fla.
He graduated from South View High School and attended Hardin Simmons University. He is employed as a retention noncommissioned officer in charge at North Carolina National Guard.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a knee-length vintage-style strapless gown of ivory bridal satin with a sleeveless lace overlay trimmed in satin.
Her headpiece was a two-tiered shoulder-length veil of silk illusion with satin trim.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of red roses.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.
After a wedding trip to Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Key West, the couple reside in Fuquay-Varina.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower Dec. 15 at the home of Hunter Rion of Raleigh hosted by Ms. Rion.
