James - Clerkin
CATONSVILLE, Md. — Shannon E. Clerkin of Baltimore, Md., and Stephen W. James of Baltimore exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, with Deacon Webster James officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph E. Clerkin Sr. of Centreville, Va., and Susan J. McNamee of Prince Frederick, Md., the stepdaughter of Michelle Clerkin and the granddaughter of the late Rita and Patrick Clerkin of Stratford, N.J., and James S. and Dorothy M. McNamee of Laurel Springs, N.J.
She graduated from Towson University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degrees in psychology and sociology/criminal justice. She is employed as a criminal justice statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau.
The groom is the son of Webster A. and Celia W. James of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late George M. and Gertrude F. James of Ponce Inlet, Fla., and John D. and Mary N. Wooten of Holly Hill, Fla.
He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1997 and Appalachain State University in 2003 with a degree in information systems. He is employed as an IT specialist at the U.S. Census Bureau.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family.
Kim Nicholas was her sister’s matron of honor, while Sharon Roberts was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Stacey Clerkin, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jennifer Terry, sister of the groom.
Joshua Garfield was best man.
Groomsmen were Jason Johnson, Frank Braswell III, Brad O’Hara, Jason Idilbi and Jeff Settle.
Ashleigh Nicholas and Kayla Clerkin were junior bridesmaids.
Morgan Clerkin and Emily Clerkin was flower girls.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Halethorpe, Md.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Ray Lewis’ Full Moon Barbecue in Baltimore City.
