Hamilton - Hogan
PINE LEVEL — Christy Lynn Hogan and Jerry Wayne Hamilton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. at Hinnant Family Vineyards and Winery, with Carol Bartlett officiating.
The bride is the daughter of William Ellinger and Anna Marie Hogan of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Phillip Don and Ailene Frances Hogan of Los Lunas, N.M., and Gale Ann Sprouse and the late Clarence “Sarge” Sprouse of Goldsboro.
She is a 2003 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in dental hygiene.
The groom is the son of Donna Kay Hamilton and the late Kenneth Allen Hamilton of Goldsboro and the grandson of Vivain Hamilton and the late William Hamilton of Goldsboro and the late Milton and Retha Underwood of Newton Grove.
He is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College with a certified welder degree. He is employed as a professional well driller at N.W. Poole Well and Pump Co.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white gown with a red stripe across the top of the front and down through the center of the back down through the center of the train.
She carried a bouquet of red lilies with white edges and white daisies.
Jessica Hogan was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Sprouse, cousin of the bride; Kayla Underwood, cousin of the groom; and Ashton Stribble, Wendy Young and Erin Danko.
Timmy Capps was best man.
Groomsmen were Gary Young; Chris “Arab” Lane; Jason Hargrove; Jamie Jones and Kevin Jones, cousins of the groom.
Ushers were Chris Cushing and George Watson.
Layla Rackley and Kimberly Sprouse, cousin of the bride, were flower girls. Jessie Jones was ringbearer.
Macie Jones was the miniature bride. Tyler Hogan, brother of the bride, was the miniature groom.
Wesley Dills directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Kayla Campbell.
Special helpers were Aunt Dinah, Grandma, Aunt Tammy and Uncle Timmy, Aunt Cindy and Uncle Billy Frankye, Jackie, Frances Wesley, Shelly and the couple’s families.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Hinnant Family Vineyards and Winery.
After a wedding cruise to the Hawaiian islands, the couple reside in Grantham.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower hosted by Jackie Cushing and Frankye Watson and families.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Princeton Community Building.
