Bellamy - Hochmuth
GREENVILLE — Ashley Marie Hochmuth and Paul Jason Bellamy exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony May 26 at 4 p.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Paul Brafford officiating.
The bride is the daughter of John and Pam Hochmuth of Raleigh, formerly of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Dorothy Connor and the late Charles Connor of Clearwater, Fla., and William and Hazel Townsend of Cochranville, Pa.
She is a 2005 graduate of Wayne Christian School and attends Pitt Community College for an associate degree in early childhood education.
The groom is the son of Terry and Roberta Bellamy of Kinston and the grandson of Aubrey and Evelyn Bellamy of Shallote, Ernest Woodlief of Kitrell and Margaret Woodlief of Raleigh.
He graduated from Greene Central High in 2004 and East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information technology. He will be employed by Honeywell International in Charleston, S.C.
The bride was given in marriage by her family and escorted by her father.
She wore a strapless organza A-line gown with satin draping, beaded pink metallic embroidery and a chapel train.
Her headpiece was a blusher veil and a garden bouquet tiara accented with crystal and pearl.
Michele Freeland was her cousin’s matron of honor, while Soni Bellamy, sister of the groom, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jessica Shoop, sister of the bride, and Hannah Searles, friend of the bride.
Chris Bellamy was best man.
Groomsmen were Corey Bellamy, cousin of the groom, and Barry Freeland and Joe Memmelaar, friends of the groom.
Carson Smitherman was ringbearer.
Heath Smitherman was Scripture reader.
Hank Smitherman was acolyte and junior usher.
Abbie Smitherman, friend of the bride’s family, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Shannon Hochmuth, sister-in-law of the bride, and Carol Bellamy, sister-in-law of the groom.
A program of wedding music was provided by Dion Gaskins, pianist, and the Rev. John Howard and Tracie Alford, vocalists.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Rock Springs Center in Greenville. The groom’s mother gave the blessing.
After a wedding trip to the Virginia Beach, Va., the couple reside in Charleston.
Events held before the wedding included a bride and groom send-off breakfast May 27 at Holiday Inn Express of Greenville; a bridal luncheon May 25 at Chef’s 505 of Greenville hosted by the bride’s mother; a bachelorette party May 19 in Greenville hosted by the groom’s mother, the bride’s mother, Soni Bellamy, sister of the groom, and Jessica Shoop, sister of the bride; a couple’s shower at April 21 at the home of Heath and Abbie Smitherman, friends of the bride’s family, hosted by the Smithermans; a family shower April 15 at the home of the groom’s parents; and a shower March 17 in Pennsylvania hosted by Michele Freeland, Sandy Pluck, aunt of the bride, and William and Hazel Townsend, grandparents of the bride.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the Beef Barn of Greenville. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
