GREENSBORO — Keisha Shontae Morrisey and Everett Exavier Watson III exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 7 at 5 p.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. William B. Stroman Sr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dwight Lee Morrisey of Faison and Joyce Ann Moses of Dudley and the granddaughter of Nettie Bright, Elbert Fryar and the late Annah Fryar of Faison and the late Henry Lee Morrisey of Warsaw.

She is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and North Carolina A&T State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and in 2005 with a Master of Science degree in human resources agency counseling. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She is employed as a care coordinator at Maryland Choices LLC.

The groom is the son of Everett Watson of Finklea, S.C., and Leontine JoAnna Stroman of Washington D.C. and the grandson of Hattie Mae Watson and the late Exzert Watson of Finklea and the Rev. William Stroman Sr. and Magnolia Stroman of Washington D.C.

He is a graduate of South Carolina State University and Morgan State University. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. He is employed as a software configuration manager at Lockheed Martin.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a vintage-style strapless dress with a beaded and silver-embroidered bodice with a full satin pick-up skirt.

Her headpiece was a crystal tiara with hand embroidery of silver bugle beads and crystals throughout the cathedral train.

The bride carried blush and pink roses, white miniature calla lilies and stephanotis centered with rhinestones and pink topaz stones with stems wrapped in a ivory satin ribbon.

Nichole Richberg was matron of honor, while Annika Moses was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Freda Allen, Anyua Clark, Shayla King, Kameilya Malloy, Adrienne Turner, Sheronda Walters and Kenya Watson.

Terrence Ward was best man.

Groomsmen were Talridge Davis, Andre Holmes, Travis Marcus, Warrick McZeke, Donny Oliver, Kevin Smith and Cedric Whitley.

Ushers were Brian Davis, Lionel Nau and William Thomas.

Elasha Rich and Iysis Whitfield were flower girls. Jaeluan Leach was ringbearer.

Rachelle Redmond directed the wedding. Shawntwon Leach was Bible carrier.

Nandi Wagner was the personal attendant.

Hostesses were Marcisha Adams, Zubaidah Bassett, LaToya Bynum, Cherie Greene, Keya King, Brandy Thomas and Keisha Turner.

A program of wedding music was provided by Gemale Cox, pianist, and Renita Allen, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Empire Room in Greensboro.

After a wedding trip to Miami South Beach, Fla., and a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple reside in Germantown, Md.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette and lingerie party April 6 hosted by friends of the bride; a pampered party April 6 in Greensboro hosted by the bride; a bachelorette surprise getaway March 9 in Isle of Palms, S.C., hosted by the bridal party; a bridal shower tea and luncheon Feb. 3 in Goldsboro hosted by Joyce and Annika Moses, Freda Allen and Nichole Richberg; an engagement dinner June 24 in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the couple; and a bachelor weekend in Las Vegas, Nev.

The couple held a rehearsal dinner in Mount Zion Baptist Church fellowship hall.
