Stanley - Whitley
GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Vickie Rae Whitley of New Bern and Thomas Franklin Stanley of Kinston exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Feb. 23 at the Little Mountain Church of Gatlinburg Chapel Ministries, with the Rev. Ed Taylor officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Vickie Johnson of Dudley.
She is a 1999 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She is employed as the branch manager of Citifinancial of Kinston.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stanley of Deep Run.
He graduated from South Lenoir High School in 1995 and Lenoir Community College’s basic law enforcement training in 2002. He is employed as a deputy with Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office.
The bride wore a white satin gown with a chiffon overlay. The bodice was enhanced with an empire waistline accented with silver embroidery. The back was enhanced with covered buttons and a train.
Her headpiece was a pearl and rhinestone tiara with a short veil.
The bride carried a bouquet of white and burgundy red roses.
Stephanie Short Lovic of Goldsboro was her friend’s matron of honor.
Rodney Lovic was his friend’s best man.
A reception was held Feb. 24 at the Community Council of Arts building in Kinston. Debbie Fiaschetti and Vimarie Negron were food servers and Dottie Rains, Jimmie Davis, Cellie Balltzglier and Mandy Stevens served the wedding cake and poured the punch.
