Lambert - Lee
MOUNT OLIVE — Amanda Brooke Lee and Garrett Douglas Lambert exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Swinson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jay and Sharon Lee of Faison and the granddaughter of Austin and Edna House of Mount Olive and Lewis and Joette Lee of Albertson.
She is a 2005 graduate of Sampson Community College. She is employed as a registered nurse at Sampson Regional Medical Center.
The groom is the son of Doug and Bonnie Lambert of Faison and the grandson of Oscar Lambert, the late Rosa Lambert and the late Louis and Hazel Herring of Mount Olive.
He is a 2005 graduate of Wayne Community College’s HVAC program. He is employed as a distribution maintenance planner at Butterball.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a strapless gown with rhinestones and sequins. The bodice was white satin accented with rhinestones and sequins.
Her headpiece was a silver comb embellished with rhinestones and crystals attached to a veil of bridal illusion embellished with hand-sewn rhinestones, sequins and crystals around the border.
The bride carried a bouquet of silk white roses, calla lilies, tulips and tiger lilies.
Lindsay Lee of Faison was her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Chelsey Lee of Faison, sister of the bride; Renee Lambert of Faison, sister of the groom; and Jeanna Butts of Mount Olive, cousin of the groom.
Doug Lambert was his son’s best man.
Ushers were Lewis Alphin of Mount Olive, friend of the groom, and Greg Swinson of Faison, cousin of the groom.
Groomsmen were Rodney Browe and Major Foy Ivey of Mount Olive and Andrew Hollingsworth of Faison, friends of the groom.
Caroline Summerlin, cousin of the groom, and Annabeth Lindsay, cousin of the bride, were flower girls. Noah Summerlin, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
Pam Lindsay, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were David and Jean Whaley, uncle and aunt of the bride. Heather Lee, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Brandi Worth and Neil Swinson, vocalists, and Leigh Ann Underhill.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents and family held a reception at the church fellowship hall. David and JoAnn Ruth of Bolivia, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Vance and Sandra Harrell, uncle and aunt of the groom, greeted guests.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, the couple reside in Mount Olive.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal luncheon Feb. 10 at Murphy’s Place hosted by Jannah Pate and Erin King, friends of the bride; a bridal shower Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 hosted by co-workers of the bride; a bridal shower Jan. 28 at Garner’s Chapel Church hosted by the bride’s family; and a bridal shower Jan. 13 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church hosted by the groom’s family.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Feb. 23 in the church fellowship hall.
