Boose - Braswell
SMITHFIELD — Crystal Gail Braswell and Michael Shawn Boose of Princeton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Josh Williamson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Linwood and Gail Braswell of Princeton and the granddaughter of Leon and Loreece Radford of Princeton and the late Chester and Veatrice Braswell.
She is a graduate of Princeton High School and East Carolina University with a Master of Science degree in communication sciences and disorders. She is employed with Wayne County Public Schools as a certified speech-language pathologist.
The groom is the son of William and Jane Boose of Turkey and the grandson of Shaw M. Bryant, the late Anthony Pinyatello and the late Robert and Beulah Boose.
He graduated from Hobbton High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies. He is employed as a senior loan officer with the State Employee’s Credit Union of Smithfield.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of white satin and chiffon with a square neckline accented with spaghetti straps. The fitted bodice was gathered at the waist with a floral beading design and flowed into an A-line skirt. The semi-cathedral train was beaded with bugle beads and crystals.
Her headpiece was a tiara of rhinestones attached to a two-tiered veil of silk illusion adorned with floral embroidery accented with crystal beading on the edge.
The bride carried a clutch bouquet of Anna roses, spray roses, stargazer lilies, stock, freesia, lisianthus and borwardia accented with pearl headpins and jeweled picks.
Heather Braswell served as her sister’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Candice Allison of Angier, Bonnie Braswell of Fuquay-Varina, April Furr of Clayton, Karen Rawls of Greenville, Jennifer Shaw of Clayton and Alyson Worley of Princeton, friends of the bride.
William Boose was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Travis Braswell of Fuquay-Varina and Tyler Braswell of Princeton, cousins of the bride, and Jim Barbour and Brian Jackson of Raleigh, Shawn Jackson and Scott Matthews of Roseboro, Eric Tew of Dunn and Bradley Tew of Goldsboro, friends of the groom.
Michaela Radford, cousin of the bride, was the miniature bride. Jackson Sherron, friend of the bride, was the miniature groom.
Grace Worley of Princeton directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Amy Pinyatello of Raleigh, cousin of the groom. Afton Daniels of Manteo and Caroline Bentley of Cary, friends of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Phyllis Edwards of Princeton, pianist; Thad Hardee of Smithfield, organist; and Angie Proctor of Princeton, vocalist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dinner reception at the church fellowship hall.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Princeton.
Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ dinner Nov. 3 at the Royal Tea Room of Selma hosted by the bride and her mother; a bridal shower Oct. 15 hosted by Grace Church family; a bridal shower Sept. 30 hosted by friends of the bride; a bachelorette party Sept. 29 hosted by the bridesmaids; a lingerie shower Sept. 29 hosted by Bonnie Braswell and Alyson and Grace Worley; a bridal shower Sept. 10 hosted by family and friends of the groom; a southern living home shower Aug. 12 hosted by April Furr and Jennifer Shaw; and a bachelor weekend Aug. 17 through 20 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the groomsmen.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Nov. 10 at First Baptist Church.
