Copeland - Hinson
Hanna Lane Hinson and Christopher Charles Copeland exchanged vows in a double-ring garden ceremony Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. at the home of Tony and Judy Bright, with the Rev. Sandy McLean officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Penny Lane Criss of Goldsboro and the late Jon Griffin Hinson of Seven Springs, the stepdaughter of Daniel Kevyn Criss and the granddaughter of the late William Whitfield and Edna Wise Griffin Hinson of Seven Springs and William Henry and Shirley Rose Lane of Goldsboro.
She is a 2000 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. She is employed as an account executive at National Network Communications.
The groom is the son of James William Copeland Jr. and Laveda Kim Copeland of Goldsboro, the stepson of Katherine Ann Copeland and the grandson of Nancy Hall Copeland and the late James William Copeland Sr. of Murfreesboro and the late Richard and Carolyn Peacock of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Goldsboro High School in 2000. He served in the Navy. He is employed as a correctional officer at Johnston Correctional.
The bride was escorted by Mason Britt and given in marriage by her family.
She wore a strapless white satin dress with a chiffon overlay. The bodice and A-line skirt were embellished with Swarovski crystals and collected at the waistline in a lily design made from Swarovski crystals.
Her fingertip-length doubled-tiered veil was embellished with Swarovski crystals and satin silk edging.
The bride carried a bouquet of stargazer and nerine lilies with pink orchids and white dahilas.
Crystal Smith of Mount Olive, served as her cousin’s matron of honor, while Natalie Copeland, sister of the groom, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Everett; the bride’s mother; Robin Johnston of Venice, Calif., cousin of the groom; Amber Evans of Seven Springs, cousin of the bride; and Elizabeth Bright of Griffton.
James Copeland was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Steven Summerell and Matthew McCall of Greenville, Jimmy Stevens of Elizabeth City, Blake Bright, Timothy Bright of Griffton and Paul Smith of Mount Olive, cousin of the bride.
Savannah Smith was flower girl. Mason Britt was ringbearer.
Tony and Judy Bright directed the wedding.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Holiday Inn Express.
After a wedding trip to Georgia, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette party Sept. 1 hosted by the bridesmaids; a bachelor party Sept. 1 hosted by the groomsmen; a wedding shower Aug. 17 at the home of Judy Bright hosted by Judy and Mary Grace Bright; and a wedding shower July 23 at St. Luke United Methodist Church hosted by Kim Copeland and Wanda Starling.
