Smith - Phillips
Craig and Doris Poandl Smith of Goldsboro, Bill Phillips of South Carolina and Teresa Mathis of Virginia announce the marriage of their children, Lauren Jacqualine Phillips and Cpl. Patrick Scott Smith, Aug. 11 at Beaufort, S.C., base chapel.
The bride is a graduate of Beaufort High School.
The groom is the grandson of Dorothy Poandl, the late John F. Poandl and Mrs. and Mrs. Russell Smith of Goldsboro and the great-grandson of Bruce Worrell of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School. He is serving in the Marine Corps stationed in South Carolina.
After a wedding trip to Savannah, Ga., the couple reside in South Carolina.
