Belvan - Hunter
RALEIGH — Rebecca Sue Hunter of Goldsboro and Adam Paul Belvan of Pikeville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Raleigh Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints.
The bride is the daughter of Douglas Brooks and Betty Sue Hunter of Turkey and the granddaughter of the late James Macgruder and Louise Brooks Hunter of Turkey.
She is a graduate of East Duplin High School in Beulaville and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with bachelor and master degrees in elementary education. She is employed as fifth-grade teacher at Grantham School.
The groom is the son of Shirley Ruth Harper of Pikeville and the late William Belvan, Jr. of Athens, Ga.
He graduated from Southern Wayne High School and attended Wayne Community College. He is employed as utilities contractor at Utility Meter Services.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
A program of wedding music was provided by Gloria Jourdan of Ormond Beach, Fla., vocalist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Smithfield Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
After a wedding trip to Boone, the couple reside in Goldsboro.
Margaret Malpass, aunt, and the bride’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the home of the bride’s parents.
