Baker - Hayes
Jennifer Dawn Hayes and David Wayne Baker exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 12 at 3 p.m. at the home of the groom’s parents, with Pastor Wayne Goff officiating.
The bride is the daughter of James Sr. and Wanda Hayes of Grantham and the granddaughter of Burcheal and Hettie Rose Hayes of Newton Grove, the late Samuel Rutter and Winnie Rutter of Selma and Laylon and Lalon Denning of Grantham.
She is a 2003 honor graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She is employed at McDonald’s.
The groom is the son of Ronnie and Kay Baker of Pikeville and the grandson of Tony and Mollie Baker of Pikeville and Walter and Reba Butts of Goldsboro.
He graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2001. He is employed as a sheet metal helper with Allen Kelly and Co. of Raleigh.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a halter top with a fitted bodice with beads and pearls. The cathedral train was trimmed in beads and pearls.
Her tiara extended was attached to a two-tiered fingertip veil with a pencil edge. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses.
Wendy Marie Hayes of Grantham served her sister as maid of honor.
Ronnie Wayne Baker was his son’s best man.
Kaylyn Faith Lane was flower girl. Dylan Wayne Baker, son of the couple, was ringbearer.
Tammy Wingard of Pikeville directed the wedding.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents.
The couple reside in Pikeville.
