Cobb - Brieske
Rosalie Ann Brieske and Chadwick Brooks Cobb exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 12 at 3 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Levy Moore of Franklin Springs, Ga., uncle of the groom, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Chief Warrant Officer William and Jean Brieske of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Ewald and Adeline Brieske of Wisconsin and the late Edmund and Lena Fazakerley of New York.
She is a 1992 graduate of Kempsville High School in Virginia. She is employed with Wayne County EMS as a paramedic.
The groom is the son of LaNell Cobb and the late Bobby Cobb of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Cecil and Ruth Cobb and the late Ben and Ruth Barnes of Rocky Mount.
He graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1996. He is employed with Goldsboro Fire Department as an engineer.
The bride was escorted by her farther and son, Tyler, and given in marriage by her parents and son.
She wore a white strapless satin gown with a chiffon overlay with sequin and pearl beading around the waist and edge of the chapel train.
Her double-layered veil was attached to a tiara with pearls and sequins.
The bride carried a clutch bouquet of white roses and lavender calla lilies.
Ashley Core of Chesapeake, Va., served as her aunt’s maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Christine Wheeler of Chesapeake, friend of the bride; Michelle Cobb of Goldsboro, sister of the groom; and Crystal Scrufari of Goldsboro, friend of the couple.
Mike Scrufari of Goldsboro was his friend’s best man.
Ushers were Jason Singleton and Steve Mozingo of Goldsboro and Chad Singleton of Garner, friends of the groom.
Shelia Warrick directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Susan Core.
Sharon Schmidt, sister of the bride, and Donna Morris, aunt of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Mark Gourley, organist, and Dr. William Boles of Wilson, trumpeter.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in LaGrange.
Events held before the wedding included a pig picking July 9 at the home of the groom’s mother hosted by Michelle Cobb, sister of the groom, and Mike Scrufari; a bridal shower July 8 in Chesapeake hosted by Ashley Core; and a dinner June 3 at Prime Only in Raleigh hosted by the groom’s family.
The groom’s mother held a rehearsal dinner at Billie’s.
