Floyd-Gaskins
Danielle Gaskins and Gregory Floyd of Knightdale exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony at 5 p.m. July 29 at The Wagner in Clayton, with Michael McHarg officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Judy and William Gaskins of Apex, and the granddaughter of Cleveland and Rachel Sledge of Bunn and Gladys Terry and the late J.T. Terry of Knightdale.
She is a graduate of East Carolina University and will attend the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill this fall.
The groom is the son of Jeanne and Sam Floyd of Goldsboro, and the grandson of the late Eugene and Helen Flowers of Charlotte and Rossie Floyd and the late Earl Floyd of Raeford.
He is a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan University and is employed by GlaxoSmithKline.
The bride was escorted by her father and was given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a light ivory chiffon couture wedding gown. The strapless mermaid style had a fitted, beaded bodice and intricate beading throughout the design of the gown and buttons down the zipper. The chapel-length train had detailed beading on the hem.
Her headpiece was a a scalloped tiara of pearls and Swarvoski crystals. Her veil was accented with crystals and ribbon edging.
The bride carried a cascade design bouquet of white mini cala lillies, stephanotis, stargazer lillies, lavender dendrobium orchids accented with white tulips and mixed garden greenery.
Denise Eason served the bride as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Erin Holliday and Jeanne Johnson.
Hailey Eason served as junior bridesmaid.
Sam Floyd served the groom as best man.
Groomsmen were Clyn Barber and Cameron Pittman.
Flower girls were Abby Eason and Karley Eason.
Ringbearer was Raymond Winter.
Peggy Alford served as wedding director.
Patricia Davis distributed programs, while Beth Constantino greeted guests.
Harpist Caroline Craycroft provided music for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a dinner and dance at The Wagner.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner July 28 at The Wagner.
Other wedding events included showers and parties hosted by family and friends of the couple.
After their wedding trip to Isle of Palms, S.C., the couple live in Knightdale.
