De Hoyos-King
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Eva Ashley King and Paul Ricardo De Hoyos of Faison exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 25 at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Penelope Morningstar officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Cindy King of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Will and Peggy Cottle of Calypso and Delmar and Mary Edna King of Mount Olive.
She is a 2003 graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2006 graduate of Sampson Community College with an associate’s degree in nursing. She will be employed as a registered nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is the son of Maria Jimenez of Faison and Arnaldo De Hoyos of Monterrey, Mexico, and the grandson of the late Gumercindo and Anastasia Cantu and the late David and Antonia De Hoyos of Monterrey.
He graduated from North Duplin High School in 2001 and James Sprunt Community College in 2005 with an associate’s degree in business administration. He is employed in the meat department of Piggly Wiggly of Mount Olive.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a formal gown of white silk chiffon with a strapless bodice. The fitted bodice was embellished with pearls and crystals enhanced with shirred chiffon accented with a rhinestone brooch at the waist. The trumpet skirt cascaded into a sweep train.
She wore white stephanotis in her hair.
She carried a bouquet of pink roses and stargazer lilies.
Casey Ruiz served as her sister’s matron of honor, while Olivia King, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
David De Hoyos served as his brother’s best man.
Johnny De Hoyos, brother of the groom, was the groomsman.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Mount Olive.
Events held before the wedding included a girls’ night out June 24 at Fashion Nails; a bachelor party June 24 at the home of the groom; a bridal shower June 18 at Calypso Baptist Church hosted by the bride’s family; and a bridal shower at Sampson Community College hosted by the ADN class of 2006.
