Smith - Wood
Tina Louise Wood of Four Oaks and Jeremy Adam Smith of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church on June 10 at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Gary Bailey officiating.
The bride was given away by her mother and father and escorted by her father.
The bride wore a strapless ivory satin A-line skirt, accented with a pool blue sash flowing down over the train, an ivory veil with a satin edging and a tiara headpiece of rhinestone crystals, pearls and pool blue flowers and carried a bouquet of white roses.
The sister-in-law of the bride, Lori Wood was the matron of honor. Father of the groom, Linwood Smith, was the best man. Tracy Wood, brother of the bride; Brandon Smith, brother of the groom; and Curtis Howell, friend of the groom, were ushers. Niece of the bride, Trinity Wood, was the flower girl. The wedding director was Dawn Gardner. The register attendants were John and Betsy Pritchett. Christy Jones distributed programs.
Music was provided by pianist Patsy Gardner and vocalist Kay Gurley and Arnold O. Jones II, with sound by Matthew Jones.
The couple vacationed in Morehead City and now reside in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of South Johnston High School and a 2004 graduate of Johnston County Community College with an associate degree. She is currently attending East Carolina University majoring in elementary education.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and attended Wayne Community College. He is the owner of JS Landscapes.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents on June 9 at Madison’s in Goldsboro, with reception at Stoney Creek Church Fellowship Hall.
A floating wedding shower was held May 21 by family and friends at Stoney Creek Church and a bridal luncheon was given by the family at Walnut Creek Country Club was held June 3.
The bride is daughter of Dianne Temple Wood and Danny Wayne Wood of Four Oaks and the granddaughter of Louise Temple and Clifton Temple of Four Oaks and Josephine Wood and the late Ray Donald Wood of Benson.
The groom is the son of Jewel Adams Smith and Linwood Oliver Smith of Goldsboro and grandson of Mildred Adams and the late Raymond Adams of Seven Springs and the late Dixie Smith and Oliver Smith of Goldsboro.
