Griffin - Van Hise
Valerie Lynn Van Hise became the wife of Jonathan Wesley Griffin March 18 at 4 p.m.
The Rev. E. O. Griffin Jr., father of the groom, officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Christine Van Hise of Holly Springs and John R. Van Hise of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kleps of Glenville.
Parents of the groom are the Rev. Otto and Vicky Griffin are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Otto and Hazel Griffin of Seven Springs and the late Harold and Ruby Cooke of Goldsboro.
The bride wore a formal gown of green silk with a halter front that fastened at the back of the neck with a plunging back. It had a flowing skirt that cascaded.
She carried a bouquet of white roses and greenery.
Hazel Griffin and Joe Bradley were ring bearers. Ginger Griffin, sister of the groom, was rose bearer.
The couple is residing in Seven Springs.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents.
The women’s lighthouse ministry of Spring Creek Church held a wedding shower in the fellowship hall.
