Singleton - Carlotti
Maria Margaret Carlotti and Jason Harold Singleton pledged their marriage vows March 25 at 3 p.m.
The Rev. Jack Sauls officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Trinity Baptist Church.
Peter Jr. and Mary Lou Carlotti of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Louise Meeker of Ely, Nev., the late Kenneth Meeker of Carson City, Nev., and the late Peter Sr. and Margaret Carlotti of Rocklin, Calif.
The groom is the son of Sherwood and Sandy Singleton of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Emma Jean Wilson, the late Jim Wilson, Rachel Singleton and the late Harold Singleton of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white Italian satin and Alencon lace with a strapless neckline adorned with pearls and sequins. Beaded lace embellished the princess bodice. Pearl and sequin lace appliqués accented the A-line skirt. Cascading beaded lace motifs defined the cathedral train.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of Swarovski rhinestone flowers and a two-layered elbow corded veil. She carried white roses, calla lilies and casablanca lilies
Karen Lee, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Crystal Scrufari and Hannah Singleton, cousins of the groom, and Shana Koegel and Jennifer Grantham, friends of the bride.
Sherwood Singleton was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Chad Cobb and Vaden Lee, friends of the groom; and Michael Scrufari and Josh Singleton, cousins of the groom.
Hayley Singleton, daughter of the couple, was flower girl. Travis Edgerton, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Sherlene Mansfield directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Robin Grady. Cyndy Singleton distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Elaine Edwards, pianist, and Jeff Garris and Hayley Garris, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate’s degree in criminal justice technology. She is employed as a detention officer with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1998. He is employed as an engineer with Goldsboro Fire Department.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Trinity Baptist Church fellowship hall.
On March 24, a rehearsal dinner was held at the Steak Barn.
Karen Lee held a bachelorette party March 11 in New Bern.
On Feb. 26, families of the couple held a bridal shower at New Hope Friends Church.
A bridal luncheon was held Jan. 28 at Logan’s.
