Kriger - Sullivan
KENLY — Etta Renee Sullivan and Adam Christopher Kriger pledged their promise Saturday, March 18, at 3 p.m.
The Rev. David Kriger, father of the groom, officiated at the ceremony at St. Mary’s Free Will Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Phil and Carol Sullivan of Lucama. She is the granddaughter of Hattie Lee Sullivan of Lucama, the late Ezra Sullivan and the late Percy and Etta Futrell.
The groom’s parents are the Rev. David and Louise Kriger of Fremont. He is the grandson of Charles and Barbara Riddle of Goldsboro, Norma Kriger of Dudley and the late Ed Kriger and the great-grandson of Bernice Taylor of Goldsboro and the late Jamie Lee Taylor.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a matte satin A-line gown with a lace-edged tank bodice and an open back bordered in lace. The skirt was embellished with beading and lace and flowed into a chapel train.
For her headpiece, she chose a fingertip two-tiered veil trimmed in crystal bugle beads attached to a pearl-adorned comb.
Shannon Sullivan of Bailey, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Rose Ann Pittman of Raleigh, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Leslie Lawrence of Raleigh, friend of the couple, and Cristy Mitchiner of Raleigh and Cathy Renfrow of Smithfield, cousins of the bride.
Joshua Kriger and Noah Kriger of Raleigh were their brother’s best men. Groomsmen were Shane Hayes, Lee McGrady and Tyler McNeil of Pikeville, friends of the groom.
Charles Riddle, grandfather of the groom, was honorary best man.
Mallory and Mary Gracyn Archbell of Bailey, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Samuel Archbell of Bailey, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Cathy Sullivan of Lucama, aunt of the bride, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Teresa R. Holloman, aunt of the groom. Caitlin Barnes of Wilson, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Nowell’s Strings and the groom and Michelle Meeks, friend of the bride, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to the Poconos, the couple will reside in Lucama.
The bride is a graduate of Wilson Christian Academy and Barton College with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She is employed by Perdue Pharmaceuticals as a chemist.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School and Wayne Community College with associate degrees in science and art. He is employed by Food Lion and self-employed in computer design and programming.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall.
The groom’s family held an after-rehearsal dinner March 17 at Something Different of Wilson.
Harriet Barnes, Sheryl Futrell, Eva Pridgen and Pat Radford, aunts of the bride, and the bride’s mother held a bridal luncheon March 11.
Co-workers of the bride held a shower March 9.
Cousins of the bride held a bachelorette party in Smithfield March 4.
The groom’s brothers held a bachelor party March 4 in Raleigh.
RoseAnn and Sandy Pittman held a lingerie shower Feb. 25.
On Jan. 29, family and friends held a bridal shower at St. Mary’s Free Will Baptist Church fellowship hall.
On Dec. 17, Marie Davis, aunt of the bride, and Cathy Renfrow, cousin of the bride, held Christmas shower and brunch.
The groom’s family held an engagement party and memory shower Nov. 27.
