SEVEN SPRINGS — Tabitha Lanada Jones and Joshua Lee Wilson were united in holy matrimony Saturday, Dec. 31, at 5 p.m.
The Rev. Phillip Garrett officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Seven Springs Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are Pete and Cindy Jones of Seven Springs. She is the granddaughter of Mary Register of Kinston, the late Clarence Jones, the late Judy “Mia” Gibson and the late Ralph Whaley of Seven Springs, the step-granddaughter of the late Jack Register and the great-granddaughter of the late Annie Joe Poteat.
Jeff and Emma Mathews of Satesville are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Hillard and Louise Mullins of Hazard, Ky.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice was adorned with beaded embroidery of bugle beads with scalloped lace. The A-line skirt was embellished at the hem with embroidery lace and crystals. The back bodice featured a wrap-carriage adorned with rosettes cascading into a semi-cathedral train.
For her headpiece, she chose a two-tiered veil of silk illusion attached to a tiara of rhinestones.
Jennifer Jones, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shawna Mullins, sister of the groom; Chancey Thompson, Ashley Smith and Sarah Potter, friends of the bride; and Cindy King and Jessi Foley, cousins of the bride
Jeff Mathews was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Sparrow and Derek Sparrow, brothers of the bride; Issac Senecal and Richard Solomon, friends of the groom; and Tristan Beard, nephew of the groom
Darian Mullins, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Hunter Ledford, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Hailee Harbaugh, friend of the bride, was the miniature bride, and Bryan Lowman, friend of the groom, was the miniature groom.
Jane Quinn directed the wedding. Presiding at the regsiter was Kristin Gibson, aunt of the bride. Sam Solomon, friend of the couple, distributed programs.
Thomas Whaley, cousin of the bride, lit the candles.
A program of wedding music was provided by Amanda Heath, cousin of the bride, pianist; Chris and Michelle Hall, uncle and aunt of the bride, vocalists; Matt Whaley, cousin of the bride, guitarist; and Richard Harrell, audio technician.
After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple is residing in Seven Springs.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Mount Olive College. She is employed as a teller with Southern Bank.
The groom graduated from Austin High School in Indiana in 1999. He is serving in the Air Force.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Rose Darden and Jennifer were the directors. Beverly Whaley, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake.
A dance was held Dec. 31 at Holiday Inn.
Faye Heath, aunt of the bride, held a bridesmaids’ luncheon Dec. 30 at Carraways of Kinston.
The groom’s father held a bachelor party Dec. 29.
On Dec. 10, Michelle Hall, aunt of the bride, held a Christmas shower.
Family and friends held a floating shower Nov. 13.
The weekend of Nov. 6, the bride’s family held a bachelorette party in Myrtle Beach.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Seven Springs Baptist Church.
