Best - Lackey
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — Susan Ann Lackey and Travis Clifton Best were united in holy matrimony Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.
The Rev. Bill Garner officiated at the double-ring ceremony.
Tom and Ann Lackey of Lexington are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Elizabeth Lackey and the late E. Jack Lackey of Stony Point and Virginia Shook and the late Charles Shook of Statesville.
The groom is the son of Terry and Rolanda Best of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Jane Odom of Sumter, S.C., Les Odom of Alcolu, S.C., and Leah Best and the late T. Clifton Best of Goldsboro.
Christy Demory of Wilmington, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Sidney Simpson of Wilmington, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.
Terry Best was his son’s best man. Chad Horton, friend of the groom, was the groomsman.
Sloan Elizabeth Godbey, daughter of the bride, was flower girl.
After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple is residing in Wilmington.
The bride is a graduate of Queens University of Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration. She is employed as a senior sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
The groom graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is owner and operator of Weichert Realtors, SunCoast Associates of Wilmington.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Eastwood Village Clubhouse of Wilmington.
Friends of the bride held a bridal shower Nov. 27 at the home of Beth Andrew.
