Graham - Talton
PRINCETON — Malissa Lynne Talton and Kirby Wade Graham exchanged promises Dec. 17 at 4:30 p.m.
The Rev. Billy Rose and the Rev. Bobby Fletcher officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Princeton United Methodist Church.
Parents of the bride are Tom and Frankie Rains Talton of Princeton. She is the granddaughter of Tom and Frances Parrish Britt, Christie Talton, the late Wade Talton and the late Lynwood Rains Sr. of Princeton.
Parents of the groom are Jerry and Deborah House Graham of Pikeville. He is the grandson of Alice House and the late Earl House of Goldsboro and B.J. and Anne Lee and the late Teeny Graham of Mount Olive.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal white satin gown with capped sleeves. The semi-cathedral train was enhanced with embroidered rosettes.
For her headpiece, she chose white sweetheart roses in her hair. She carried a clutch bouquet of lavender and white roses.
Krystal Gooding, college roommate, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandi Bridgers, Ashley Haddock, Megan Bullock, Cassie Naksuksri and Summer Graham, sister of the groom.
Jerry Graham was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Brice Ficken, Jonathon Graham, cousin of the groom, Anthony Pittman, Scott Johnson and Chad Talton and Jason Talton, brothers of the bride.
Elaine Howell, niece of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.
Savannah Smith, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Daniel Talton, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Todd and Leslie Miller directed the wedding. Jessica and Emily House, cousins of the groom, distributed programs.
Michael and John Rains, cousins of the bride, were acolytes and aisle runners.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jimmy Aycock, pianist; Brad Collier, organist; Kim Davis and Jeanne Anderson, vocalists; Jason Talton, brother of the bride, trumpeter; and Johnny Capps, sound system.
After a wedding trip to Nashville, Tenn., the couple will reside in Princeton.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Princeton High School. She attends East Carolina University.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 2001 and Wayne Community College with an HVAC certification. He is employed as a refrigeration technician with Talecris of Clayton.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Princeton Baptist Church. Barbara Rains, aunt of the bride, greeted guests. Susan Knotts and Pam House, aunts of the groom, served the wedding cake accented with snowflakes. Diane and Michelle Graham, aunts of the groom, poured punch. Presiding at the gift table was Sandy Fuller, cousin of the bride. Jaclyn and Jessica Newell and Brittany Fuller, cousins of the bride, were junior servers. Kenneth and Lossie Rains, great-uncle and great-aunt of the bride, said good-byes.
On Dec. 10, Susan Watson and Gerri Parrish held a bridesmaids’ luncheon at the Watson home. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.
Brandi Bridgers held a lingerie shower and bachelorette party Nov. 19.
On Nov. 13, ladies of Princeton Methodist Church held a miscellaneous shower at the church.
Friends and family of the bride held a miscellaneous shower Oct. 22.
On Oct. 8, friends and family of the groom held a miscellaneous shower.
Megan and Margaret Bullock held a pool party Sept. 10.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner and dance at Holiday Inn Express. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.
