Shirley Sugg Boyd and Rudolph H. Creekmore Jr. said their wedding vows Nov. 12 at 6 p.m.
The Rev. Billy Olsen officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Pine Forest United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Bessie Sugg and the late Frederick L. Sugg Sr. of Rosewood.
Ethel Creekmore and the late R. Hubert Creekmore Sr. of Wilson are parents of the groom.
Given in marriage and escorted by her daughter, the bride wore a satin gown with a halter neckline. The bodice was embellished with embroidery and Swavorski crystal accents and flowed into a pleated skirt. It had a semi-cathedral-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose a crystal jeweled tiara attached to a tulle veil. She carried a fall bouquet of yellow, orange and ivory roses.
Christina Miller of Ft. Mill, S.C., was matron of honor. Jane Bland of Chocowinity, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Sharon Fitch of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Daniel Miller of Ft. Mill was best man. Ushers were Keith Strickland and Mark Tilley of Wilson, friends of the groom.
Brady Miller of Ft. Mill, granddaughter of the bride, was flower girl.
Dylan Sugg of Rosewood, nephew of the bride, and Matt Womack of Rosewood, friend of the bride, were candlelighters.
Janet Medlin directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Louise Harrell. Brenda McAlister distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Amanda Kelly, pianist and handbells; Timmy Price, organist, handbells and vocalist; and Katie Smith, vocalist.
After a wedding tip, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is employed in vocational services at O’Berry Center.
The groom is employed with Joyner’s Funeral Home of Wilson.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s daughters and friends from South Carolina held a reception in the church fellowship hall.
Out-of-town guests were from South Carolina, Florida and Virginia.
On Nov. 11, Fred and Carolyn Massengill, friends of the couple, held a pig picking rehearsal dinner.
Christina Miller, Connie Miller and Raina Jones held a bridal shower Oct. 15 in South Carolina.
Friends of the bride held a bachelorette dinner at Logan’s Restaurant.
