Skinner - Smith
LAGRANGE — Kimberly Dawn Smith of Greenville and Larry Clifton Skinner Jr. of Greenville pledged their marriage vows Oct. 8 at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Alan K. Lamm officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Wheat Swamp Christian Church.
The bride is the daughter of Cynthia Smith Sasser of Snow Hill. She is the granddaughter of Shirley Worrell Smith and the late James William Smith of Goldsboro.
Larry Clifton Sr. and Betty Letchworth SKinner of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Wesley Thomas Sr. and Burnette Tripp Letchworth of Grifton and the late Lonnie “Pete” and Mildred Sutton Skinner of Kinston.
The bride was given in marriage and escorted by her grandmother.
Benita Mattheis, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Wendi Barefoot, sister of the bride; Vivian Waters, aunt of the bride; and Jayme McLawhon, cousin of the bride.
Shane Anderson was his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were Andre Augustus and Bryce Verhaeghe, friends of the groom, and Stuart Letchworth, cousin of the groom.
Kaylee Tucker and Taylor Smith, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. John Suggs, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
Vickie Letchworth directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Malisha Warters. Tracy Smith distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Wesley Letchworth Jr., pianist, organist and vocalist.
After a wedding trip to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple is residing in Greenville.
The bride is a graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor science degree in child development. She is employed as a teacher with Children’s Montessori School.
The groom graduated from East Carolina University with a master of arts degree in anthropology. He is employed as a real estate broker with Selective Home.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Kinston Country Club.
The groom’s parents and the bride’s grandmother held a pig picking.
Benita Mattheis held a bridal luncheon at La Lee’s Epicurean Delights.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Carraway’s Restaurant of Kinston.
