Gurganus - Clark
Lou Ann Clark and Danny Johnson Gurganus pledged their wedding vows Saturday, Oct. 15, at noon.
The Rev. Don Sauls officiated at the ceremony at Pikeville Free Will Baptist Church.
Minnie Lee Ginn of Pikeville and the late Paul Ginn are parents of the bride.
The late Johnny and Ireane Gurganus of Goldsboro are parents of the groom.
Given in marriage and escorted by her son, Ricky Hinson of Wichita, Kan., the bride wore an ivory dress accented with pearls and lace crystals.
She chose a headpiece of pearls and crystals.
Cheir Hinson of Wichita, Kan., daughter-in-law of the bride, and Renae, cousin of the bride, were matrons of honor. Diane Aldridge of Mount Olive was the bridesmaid.
Jessie Aldridge of Mount Olive was best man.
Norma Crooker and Lisa directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Anne Brown of Goldsboro, friend of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jeff Martin, Ricky Hinson and Cheir Hinson.
After a wedding trip to the coast, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Pikeville High School. She is retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The groom is employed as a maintenance supervisor at WalMart.
Following the ceremony, Peggy Evans of Pikeville held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Paulette Chase, sister of the bride, served the wedding cake. Doris Gurganus, friend of the bride, poured punch.
