Cooper - Hall
KINSTON — Camille LaTrese Hall and Willie Alfices Cooper Jr. were married Sept. 24 at 2 p.m.
Bishop E.O. Edwards officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Hull Road Free Will Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are Isaac and Edna Hooker Hall of Kinston. She is the granddaughter of Hattie Bell Hooker of Snow Hill, the late Raymond Wooten Sr. of Elizabeth, N.J., and the late Bennie Jr. and Bertha Bell Hall of LaGrange.
Parents of the groom are Willie Alfices Sr. and Lila Curtis Cooper of Oxford. He is the grandson of Lila O. Curtis and the late Willie J. Curtis of Oxford and the late Lonnie and Mary Hawley Cooper of Berea.
Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless gown with a detachable chapel-length train of satin peau de soi adorned with English netting overlay covered with pearls and sequins.
For her headpiece, she chose a double-layered finger-length veil accented with a rhinestone tiara and a detachable train accented with English netting appliqués. She carried a pauve style bouquet of confetti roses accented with freesia.
Tonya Mays was matron of honor. Natasha Cannon was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shanta Black, Gabrielle Bryant, Lazandra Cooper and Tina Powell.
Trevar Cooper was best man. Ushers were Stephen Shands, Sheldon Suggs, Jamal Hall and John Miller Jr. Groomsmen were Donny Bullock, Kevin Bryant, Terrance Robinson, Kasin Potter and Maurice Betts.
Xeniana Edwards was the miniature bride. Darian Taylor was the miniature groom.
Cori Lawson was the junior bridesmaid. Kevin Hall was the junior groomsman.
Clarke Potter and Nicole Dawson were flower girls. Cooper Taylor was ring bearer.
Kimberly Taylor directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Angela Jones and Shlisa Waters. Dyshetta Croom distributed programs.
Special helpers were Kimberly Powell, Sharon Hart, Shirelle Dawson, Beady Hall, Preston Hall and Evelyn Hart.
A program of wedding music was provided by Domonic Powell, pianist, and McKinley Wooten Jr. and Becky Moore, vocalists.
After a wedding cruise to Grand Cayman Island and Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple is residing in Richlands.
The bride is a graduate from Lenoir Community College with an associate degree in business administration and North Carolina Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in computer information. She is employed as a staff assistant with Lenoir Community College.
The groom attends Lenoir Community College’s culinary arts program. HE is employed as a cook with Sodexho.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Hampton Inn Hotel.
ON Aug. 27, Andrea Hooker held a sugar-and-spice lingerie shower.
Mary Shands held a Pampered Chef shower Aug. 13.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Greene County senior center.
