Deans - Baker
Katrina Lynn Baker and Richard Derek Deans were married Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. at Princeton Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are Jeanette Lamm Baker and Joe Wesley Baker of Princeton. She is the granddaughter of Edna Baker of Princeton.
Parents of the groom are Vickie Renfrow Deans and the late Richard H. Deans of Kenly.
The bride wore a white satin gown with a portrait neckline with silver accents. The A-line skirt was embellished with Alencon lace appliqués and flowed into a semi-cathedral-length train.
She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, lilies and dendrobiums.
Jamie Owens of Selma, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor.
Billy Deans of Selma was his brother’s best man. Ushers were Jason Smith of Goldsboro and Jeff Wall of Princeton, brothers-in-law of the bride, and Jay Benncheck of Kenly, friend of the groom.
Annette Smith and Valerie Smith of Goldsboro, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Joshua Wall of Princeton, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Tammy Smith of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Joann Wall of Princeton, sister of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Thad Harding, organist, and Jeff Wall, trumpeter.
After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple is residing in Princeton.
On Aug. 21, a family luncheon was held at the home of Billy and Shirley Carter.
Debbie Mitchell, Teresa Modlin and Vickie Deans held a gift certificate shower Aug. 7 at the Deans home.
On July 23, Joann Wall, Tammy Smith and Jamie Owens held a lingerie shower at the Wall home.
Joe and Jeanette Baker held a handyman shower July 17 at their home.
On June 25, the bride’s family held a miscellaneous wedding shower at Princeton Baptist Church.
