Christie - Barnes
STANTONSBURG — Brandi Paulette Barnes of Black Creek became the bride of Timothy Adam Christie of Goldsboro Aug. 27 at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Max Patterson officiated at the single-ring ceremony at First Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Anna Barnes of Black Creek and John H. Barnes Sr. of Fremont. She is the granddaughter of Anna Mae Rakestraw and the late Erskine Emory Rakestraw of Black Creek and the late Harvey and Elizabeth Campbell Barnes of Fremont.
The groom is the son of Linda Christie of Colchester, Conn., and Eric Person of Columbia, Conn. He is the grandson of Phyllis Christie of Hebron, Conn.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her brother, John Barnes Jr., the bride wore a white strapless satin gown with a chapel-length train accented with beads and pearls.
For her headpiece, she chose a fingertip illusion veil. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies.
Kim Herring was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mandy Smith and Brandi Perkins.
Dale Herring was best man. Groomsmen were Tim Smith and Allen Turbeville.
Grace Christie was the junior bridesmaid.
Alina Smith was miniature bride. Landen Herring was miniature groom.
Taylor Turbeville was flower girl.
Renee Smith and Debbie Cason directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Cristy Estrada.
A program of wedding music was provided by Barbara Patterson, organist, and Kathy Christie, vocalist.
After a wedding cruise to Key West, Fla., and Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Beddingfield High School. She is employed as an ophthalmic assistant with Mitchell Eye Center.
The groom graduated from Windham Technical School of Connecticut. He is self-employed in construction.
Following the ceremony, Debbie Cason, Renee Smith, family and friends held a reception in the church fellowship hall.
The bride’s grandmother held a rehearsal dinner Aug. 26 in the church fellowship hall.
