Stevens - Owens
Bobbie K. Owens of Dudley became the bride of Jeremia B. Stevens of Dudley Aug. 6 at 5 p.m.
The Rev. Karl Bartlett officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Rosewood First Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Christine S. Mervin of Seven Springs and Kirk M. Bonnin of Battleground, Wash. She is the stepdaughter of Robert E. Mervin Jr. of Seven Springs and Deb Bonnin of Battleground and the granddaughter of the late Edith Isenburg and Ward M. and Flora-Jean Bonnin of Portland, Ore.
Parents of the groom are Accellia Baltzglier of Dudley and Charles Stevens Sr. of Goldsboro. He is the stepson of Perry Baltzglier of Dudley and Freddie Stevens of Goldsboro and the grandson of Theodore “Buddy” Sr. and Sally Moody of Dudley and the late Woodrow Sr. and Mary Helen Stevens of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a two-piece white satin dress with a spaghetti strap top with metal studded rhinestones adorning the bottom of the front of the top with a lace-up back. The skirt was white satin with a short train.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara with rhinestones and pearls. She carried a bouquet of white lilies.
Christina Watkins was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mandy Stevens, sister of the groom, and Valerie Scott, friend of the bride.
John Bartlett was best man. Ushers were Joe Moody, uncle of the groom; Justin Moody, cousin of the room; and Shane Holland, friend. Groomsmen were Charlie Stevens, brother of the groom, and Chris Brimberry, friend of the groom.
Carly Stevens, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Kaiden Morales was ring bearer.
Jill Stevens, sister-in-law of the groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Brittany Bonnin, sister of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Timothy Collier Jr., vocalist and guitarist.
After a wedding trip to the Outer Banks, the couple is residing in Dudley.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Goldsboro High School, a 1999 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate in arts degree and a 2000 graduate of Mount Olive College with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and management. She is employed as a collection specialist with Goldsboro Orthopaedic Associates.
The groom graduated from Wayne Community College in 2003. He is a member of Arrington Volunteer Fire Department. He is employed as a heavy equipment mechanic with Wayne County Sanitation Department.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Moose Lodge. Helpers were Perry and Accellia Baltzglier.
A lingerie shower was held July 30 at Fletcher’s.
On July 30, friends and family of the couple held a girls’ night out.
On July 23, the groom’s friends and family held a bachelor party in Greenville.
Co-workers of the bride held a wedding shower July 20 at Goldsboro Orthopaedic Associates.
The couple’s families held a bridal shower July 17.
On June 25, friends of the bride held a bachelorette party in Raleigh.
The groom’s father and stepmother held a rehearsal dinner at Rosewood First Baptist Church.
