Eckes - Henrickson
WARSAW — Kerri Ann Henrickson of Wendell became the wife of Brian William Eckes of Wendell July 30 at 4:30 p.m.
Thomas Yopp officiated at the single-ring ceremony at Country Squire.
Barbara Louise Spellen of Goldsboro and David Thomas Henrickson of League City, Texas, are parents of the bride. She is the stepdaughter of Payton Spellen and Lorna Henrickson and the granddaughter of the late Floyd and Louise Johnson of Frankfort, N.Y., and the late Edith DeCarr and the late Charles Henrickson of Ilion, N.Y.
Parents of the groom are Pamela Jean Eckes of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late David William Eckes of Greenville. He is the grandson of Merlin and Virginia Griswold of Marysville, Kan., and the late William and Mimi Eckes of Jacksonville.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a ballgown dress with a tulle skirt and a satin corset bodice with a halter neckline. It was accented in beads arranged in a floral pattern.
For her headpiece, she chose a comb accented with rhinestones and pearlized beads. She carried a cascading arrangement of white larkspur and red and white roses with coffee berries, ruskus and seeded eucalyptus.
Sarah Ryan was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Gwen Freeman and Diane Wolfe.
Jason Donalley was best man. Payton Spellen was the usher. Paul Styron was the groomsman.
Sharon Outlaw directed the wedding.
The couple will take a wedding trip to Europe. They are residing in Wendell.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School, a 1999 graduate of Mount Olive College with a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts and a2005 graduate of East Carolina University with an MFA degree in studio art.
The groom graduated from Mount Olive College in 1999 with a bachelor of arts degree in graphics design. He is employed as an embroidery digitizer with the Cotton Exchange.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Country Squire.
On July 29, a rehearsal dinner was held at the home of the bride’s mother.
A bridesmaids’ luncheon was held at Chamomile Cottage Tea Room of Raleigh.
