Hubbard - Thornton
Lea Foster Thornton of Pikeville became the bride of James Derek Hubbard of Pikeville July 29 at 3:30 p.m. in a double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are the late Kenneth A. and Vinia L. Foster of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late George L. and O’Zella Fleming of Sweetwater, Tenn., Ora Nell Foster Hutsell and the late Thomas L. Foster of Athens, Tenn.
Christine Pruitt of Goldsboro and James Hubbard of Oklahoma City, Okla., are parents of the groom.
After a wedding trip to Carolina Beach, the couple will reside in Pikeville.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2001 honor graduate of Wayne Community College. She is employed as a workforce investment act career coach with Eastern Carolina Workforce Development Board of New Bern.
The groom graduated from Mustang high School. He served in the Navy. He is employed as an account manager with IHM Services of Kinston.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the couple.
