Jones - Randolph
Nadia Lynn Randolph and Clayton Earl Jones were united in marriage Saturday, June 18, at 3 p.m.
Elder Braxton Frederick officiated at the double-ring ceremony at St. Mark Free Will Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are Joseph and Tonya Randolph of Dudley. She is the granddaughter of Rosie Manley, the late Jimmy Manley and Joan Johnson of Dudley.
Aubrey and Teresa Jones of Dudley are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Roger and Carol Payne of Illinois and Lizabeth Jones and the late Loney Jones of Georgia.
Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless gown accented with lace and roses. The fitted bodice led to a flowing ballgown skirt adorned with roses and lace. It had white pearls in the center of each rose, trimmed in satin.
For her headpiece, she chose a platinum tiara adorned with roses and white pearls with a one-tiered veil trimmed in satin. She carried a white-handled bouquet of white and lavender roses cascading with ribbons.
Najah Maryam Young of California was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shayla Christine Richberg of Greensboro and Jessica Harden of Durham.
Wesley Dills was best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Curtis Jones, brother of the groom, and Brian Heim, friend of the groom.
Nikea LeRose Randolph, sister of the bride, was the junior maid of honor. Derek Jones, brother of the groom, was the junior best man.
Vyonie Manley and Ardeja Beale, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. Nicholas Levon Randolph, brother of the bride, was ring bearer.
Vicky Nicholson, cousin of the bride, directed the wedding.
Hostesses were Taccarro Mathis and Teresa Bernes, friends of the bride, and Keyera Davis, cousin of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Diedra Williams of Greenville, pianist; Jennifer Heim of Dudley, violinist; and Tracey Manley-Redding of California, aunt of the bride, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Virginia, the couple is residing in Dudley. They will move to Chapel Hill in the fall.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Southern Wayne High School. She attends the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is employed at the Center of Developmental Science of Chapel Hill.
The groom graduated from Spring Creek High School in 2002. He will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is employed through Sanlar Enterprises.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dinner and dance reception at Crosstie Steak and Seafood.
On July 10, Brogden United Methodist Church will hold a kitchen shower.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 17 at Brogden Church.
On June 11, family and friends of the bride held a miscellaneous shower at the home of Evangelist Christine Frederick, great-aunt of the bride.
The bride’s mother and sister held a bridal shower June 10 at the home of the bride’s grandmother.
On June 10, Wesley Dills held a bachelor cookout in Grantham.
