Williams - Smith
PRINCETON — Holly Joy Smith and Jeremy Steven Williams exchanged promises Feb. 5 at 6 p.m.
The Rev. Anne Sims officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Zion United Methodist Church.
C.W. and Kathy Smith of Seven Springs are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Chester and Audrey Smith of Seven Springs and Leland and Margaret Sutton of Goldsboro.
Larry and Joy Williams of Mount Olive are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Louise Williams and the late Rev. Frank Williams Jr. of Mount Olive, Carl Ray Price of Seven Springs and Cynthia Howard and the late Kenneth Howard of Albertson.
Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a spaghetti strap matte satin gown of Alencon lace with bows and buttons accenting the chapel train. It had a matching shawl.
For her headpiece, she chose a two-tiered veil adorned with pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses and purple statice accented with pearl sprays.
Meredith Price of Raleigh was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandy Rouse of Seven Springs and Kristy Brock of Mount Olive, sisters of the bride.
Larry Williams was his son’s best man. Ushers were Greg Rouse of Seven Springs and Russ Brock of Mount Olive, brothers-in-law of the bride. Groomsmen were Frankie Williams of Wilmington, brother of the groom, and John Whitfield of Mount Olive, friend of the couple.
Mikayla Price, cousin of the groom, was flower girl. Blain Hinson, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
Trudy Shivar, family friend, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Raven Brock, cousin of the groom.
A program of wedding music was provided by Carolyn House, family friend, pianist, and Donna Outlaw, family friend, vocalist.
After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Mount Olive.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2003 graduate of Johnston Community College with associate degrees in radiology and medical sonography. She is employed as an ultrasound technologist with Sampson Regional Medical Center.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2000 and Wayne Community College in 2002 with an associate degree in agriculture business. He is self-employed with Williams Farms.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church community building.

On Jan. 8, Brandy Rouse and Kristy Brock held a lingerie shower.
Family friends held a honey-do shower Jan. 2.
On Dec. 18, family held a miscellaneous shower.

On Nov. 21, church family and friends held a miscellaneous shower.
Russ and Kristy Brock held an engagement party Nov. 13.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Southern Wayne Country Club.
