Turnage - Carter
Lindsey DeAnn Carter became the bride of David Michael Turnage Jan. 15 at 5:30 p.m.
Horace Johnson officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Lane Tree Golf Club.
Parents of the bride are Ken and Jane Carter of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Christine Weaver, the late Christopher Weaver and Ray Carter of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are Greg and Judy Turnage of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Mary Johnson of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless gown.
For her headpiece, she chose baby’s breath in her hair. She carried calla lilies tied with navy ribbon.
Shelly Braswell and Marcie Woodard were matrons of honor. Carey Carter and Courtney Eaves were maids of honor.
Gregory Turnage was his son’s best man. Ushers were Carl Russell, Jeff Smith, Ben Price and Jason Collins.
Amanda Beckert was the junior bridesmaid.
Avery Rae Braswell, Elizabeth Beckert and Carrie Ann Beckert were flower girls.
Special helpers were Dava Rose, Lisa Pickering and Grace Smith.
A program of wedding music was provided by Rick Thornton, dj.
After a wedding cruise, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of East Carolina University. She is employed by WAGES.
The groom is employed by Jeffreys RA Distributing.
Following the ceremony, a dance reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner.
Family and friends held a party.
