Toler - Everett
Sharon Michelle Everett and Jamie Todd Toler said their wedding vows Dec. 4 at 2 p.m.
Jeff Toler officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Whitley Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mark S. and Tammy James Everett of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Abner “Pete” and Barbara James and Bill and Miriam Sawrey of Goldsboro and the late Michael Everett I.
The groom is the son of George R. Jr. and Shirley Toler of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Thurman and Gladys Toler and the late George Ransom Sr. and Leona Toler of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin, organza and Venise lace. It had a portrait neckline and cap sleeves. The Basque bodice was embellished with pearls, sequins and lace. A full organza skirt enhanced with beaded lace appliqués added emphasis. The back bodice was interwoven with pearls, sequins and lace. Cascading pearl and sequin lace motifs defined the cathedral-length train.
For her headpiece, she chose a cathedral-length veil of silk illusion.
Heather Thomas, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Karen Everett, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were April Holland, sister of the groom; Tonya Toler, sister-in-law of the groom; and Heather Sawrey, aunt of the bride.
George R. Toler Jr. was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Kirk Holland, brother-in-law of the groom; Mark Everett, brother of the bride; T. Thomas, brother-in-law of the bride; and Tommy Sawrey, uncle of the bride.
Chelsea Toler of Goldsboro, niece of the groom, and Jillian Thomas of Washington D.C., niece of the bride, were flower girls. Bobby Holland of Goldsboro, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
Kirsten Stovall directed the wedding. Timothy Holland and J.C. Toler of Goldsboro, nephews of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Betty Grantham, pianist.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She is employed as a secretary with Toler Construction Co. Inc.
The groom graduated from home school. He is employed as assistant vice president with Toler Construction Co. Inc.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. Kathryn Forehand was coordinator. Miranda Bennett, Lola Boswell, Carol Pearce, Melissa Pearce and Glenda Rowe assisted. Jane Shattuck and Kirsten Stovall served the wedding cake.
A rehearsal dinner was held Dec. 3 at Whitley Pentecostal Holiness Church.
On Nov. 20, a lingerie shower was held at the home of the groom’s mother.
A miscellaneous shower was held Nov. 13 at Christian Care Academy II gymnasium.
Family and friends held showers.
