Jennette - Grantham
Brandy Ann Grantham became the bride of Brian Jay Jennette Dec. 18 at 6 p.m.
Pastor Jason Sherman officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Black Jack Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are James Randall Grantham and Marilyn Potter Grantham of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Vernell Grantham and the late James Grantham and J.R. and Gaynell Potter of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are B.J. and Linda Cooke Jennette of Mount Olive. He is the grandson of the late Joe and Emma Jennette and the late J.B. and Sudie Cooke of Mount Olive.
Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her father, the bride a wore a white matte satin A-line gown with a halter-style neckline. It had an organza overlay accented with Venise lace, an empire waistline and a chapel-length train.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of red roses.
Emily Daniels Jenkins was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sharon Jennette Jackson, sister of the groom; Danielle Elizabeth St. Clair, friend of the bride; and Lisa Taylor Jennette, sister-in-law of the groom.
Joseph B. Jennette was best man. Groomsmen were Jerry Shannon Jackson, brother-in-law of the groom, and Corey Scott Beers and Gary Douglas Grantham, friends of the groom.
Cole William Grantham was ring bearer.
Renee Hinson directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Brenda Garner. Linda McCoy distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Pam Jones, pianist, and Steve Jones and Doug and Celena Smith, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple will reside in Mount Olive.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate of arts degree. She attends Lenoir Community College’s surgical technology program. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1997 and Wayne Community College with an associate’s degree in poultry and livestock management, agribusiness and automotive systems technology. He is employed as co-owner of Jennette Farms.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception dinner at the church fellowship hall. Margaret Spiron poured punch. Joanne Clark served the wedding cake. Judy Kennedy and Phyllis Joyner greeted guests.
On Dec. 17, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Western Sizzlin.
Lisa Jennette, Sharon Jackson and Linda Jennette held a miscellaneous bridal shower Dec. 5 at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
On Dec. 1, students in the surgical technology program held a miscellaneous bridal shower at Lenoir Community College.
A bachelor party was held Nov. 20 in Raleigh.
On Nov. 20, Lisa Jennette held a lingerie shower and bachelorette party at Logan’s Roadhouse.
Marilyn Grantham and Emily Jenkins held a miscellaneous bridal shower Nov. 14 at Black Jack Church fellowship hall.
On Oct. 28, Lisa Jennette and Sharon Jackson held a Pampered Chef party at the Jennette home.
