Terrell-Aycock
CAMERON — Nancy Carroll Aycock of Sanford became the bride of Kenneth Donald Terrell of Sanford Nov. 27 at 3 p.m.
The Rev. Jack Bowling officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Countryside Presbyterian Church.
Parents of the bride are Phillip B. Sr. and Nanette Aycock of Fremont. She is the granddaughter of the late Raymond C. Aycock and Lucille Aycock of Fremont and Jimmy and Carolyn Thompson of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are Dan and Barbara Mayer of Cameron and William Kenneth Doak of Oklahoma City, Okla. He is the grandson of Lenuel Reynolds and the late Helen Reynolds of Cameron and the late Don Dyer and Bernice Dyer of Oklahoma City.
Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white and beaded Schiffli lace with a scalloped V-neckline, short sleeves and a full skirt. Pearls, sequins and lace motifs adorned the gown and chapel train.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara attached to a two-tiered waist-length veil with a penciled edge. She carried a cascading bouquet of roses and baby’s breath accentuated with pearl sprays.
Veronica K. Aycock, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer G. Wiggins, friend of the bride, and Lindsey Wilhoit, niece of the groom.
Keith Martin was his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were J. Ryan Aycock, brother of the bride, and Tyler Wilhoit, nephew of the groom.
Brett Kee, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
Janet Johnson of Benson directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Suzanne Aycock, cousin of the bride. Kristi Aycock, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Molly Aycock, cousin of the bride, pianist; Phil Aycock, brother of the bride, vocalist; and Missy Braddy, cousin of the bride, cellist.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple is residing in Sanford.
The bride is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and Wayne Community College. She is employed as a customer service representative with Frontier Spinning Mills of Sanford.
The groom graduated from Western Harnett High School. He is employed as a salesman with Chatlee Marine of Sanford.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Aycock, uncle and aunt of the bride, greeted guests. Judy Smith, aunt of the bride, poured punch. Jan Aycock, aunt of the bride, cut the wedding cake.
On Nov. 26, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Rosie’s of Cameron.
Co-workers of the bride held a surprise shower Nov. 23.
On Nov. 14, family and friends of the groom held a bridal shower at Countryside Church.
Friends of the couple held a shower Nov. 13 at Buffalo Lake Clubhouse.
On Oct. 29, Veronica Aycock, Carma Brown, Judy Smith, Jan Aycock and MaryAnn Aycock held a bridal shower at the Aycock home.
An engagement party was held Sept. 11 at the home of the bride’s parents.
