Murtha - Carder
Becky Ann Carder of Pikeville and Patrick Joseph Murtha of Pikeville were married Nov. 6 at 4 p.m.
Rick Medlin officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Walnut Creek Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of William Raymond and Patricia Margaret Carder of Greensboro.
Raymond Joseph Sr. and Elizabeth Murtha of Lansdowne, Pa., are parents of the groom.
Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a scalloped strapless satin A-line dress with an asymmetrical waist and a satin apron overlaid with a lace inset skirt and matching detail on the cathedral train.
She carried a clutch of red roses, coffee berries, Italian ruscus and grasses wrapped with a white satin bow.
Bridesmaids were Connie Kendricks, Tonia Furniss-Roe and Lisa McEvoy.
Ushers were Chris McEvoy, Raymond Murtha Jr. and Glenn Cruickshank.
J.P. Gallagher was flower girl. Leon Coleman was ring bearer.
Kim Scrufari directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Allen Moore and Jennifer Sexton, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to Mexico and Playda Del Carmen, the couple is residing in Pikeville.
The bride is a graduate of Page High School of Greensboro. She is employed with Strickland Insurance Group.
The groom graduated from Penn Wood High School of Pennsylvania. He is serving in the Air Force stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base with the 4th Equipment Maintenance Squadron.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.
A shower was held in Greensboro.
