Adcock - Flaugher
MOUNT OLIVE — Jennifer Ann Adcock and Shawn Michael Flaugher of Sanford pledged their marriage vows Aug. 13 at 8 p.m.
The Rev. Frank Sandy officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Southern Wayne Country Club.
Randolph Edwards and Deborah Colie Adcock of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Tom Colie of Kinston, Eva Jenner of Goldsboro and the late Fred and Lucy Adcock of Henderson.
The groom is the son of Michael Paul and Deborah Ann Flaugher of Coal Valley, Ill. He is the grandson of Jack and Gloria Bellack of Medina, N.Y. and the late Grant and Betty Flaugher of Dayton, Ohio.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a traditional strapless A-line ivory satin gown with a fitted bodice accented with beaded lace appliqués, crystals and satin-covered buttons down the back. The chapel train was accented with a cutout lace-appliqued hem with crystals and beads. She wore matching earrings and a necklace.
She chose a cathedral-length headpiece of ivory illusion. She carried a bouquet of cream roses, peonies and lavender stephanotis with hand-tied ivory satin ribbons.
Kelly Adcock of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tracy Adcock of Goldsboro, sister of the bride, and Samantha Freeman of Sanford, friend of the bride.
Joe Flaugher of Iowa was his brother’s best man. Ushers and groomsmen were Corey Wilson of California and Kevin Ortega of Sanford, friends of the groom.
Emily Hyatt was flower girl.
Brandi Perkins of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Amanda Freeman of Sanford, friend of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Linda Hawley.
The couple is residing in Clayton.
The bride is a graduate of Rosewood High School. She is employed as a loan processor with Advance America.
The groom is employed in security management with Duke University.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Southern Wayne Country Club.
On Aug. 12, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Madison’s Restaurant.
