Ingram - Stone
Joy Renee Stone of Pikeville and William Allen Ingram II of Pikeville pledged their wedding promises Aug. 28 at 3 p.m.
The Rev. Dock Hobbs officiated at the double-ring ceremony at First Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Sandra Stone of Goldsboro and Benjamin F. Stone of Summersville, W. Va. She is the granddaughter of the late Robert Edwin Campbell and Mary Newcomber Campbell of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are Julie Newsome Tillette and William Allen Ingram of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late D.N. Newsome and Alma Newsome of Goldsboro and the late Chester and Katherine Ingram.
Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her brother, Aaron Stone, the bride wore a white sheath gown of organza. The bodice had a bordered hemline and train accented with lace and hand-sewn pearls and sequins.
For her headpiece, she chose a cathedral-length two-tiered veil with pearls, rhinestones and pencil trim attached to a silver floral tiara of Austrian crystals with a matching necklace and earrings. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses attached to a bride’s Bible handed down from her aunt.
Jennifer Cruse, sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sarah Stone, sister-in-law of the bride; and Laura May, Haley Ginn, Brandi Tripplett, Stacie Vaughan and Tracey Abernathy, friends of the bride.
William Ingram was best man. Groomsmen were Tony Ginn, cousin of the groom, and Randy West, Brent West, Joey Stewart, Derek Williams and Dave Abernathy, friends of the groom.
Jadah and Adayah Ginn were flower girls. Andrew and Nathan Cruse were ring bearers.
LeAnn Keen directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Tonya Rodriguez. Amy Carter distributed programs.
Ben Stone, brother of the bride, and Johnnie Medlin, nephew of the groom, were candlelighters.
A program of wedding music was provided by Camelle Fredrick, pianist, and Sonja Ginn, vocalist.
After a wedding cruise to Jamaica, the couple is residing in Pikeville.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lane Tree Golf Club. Doug and Cheryl Howell, uncle and aunt of the groom, greeted guests. Meredith Osterud and Robert Campell, aunt and uncle of the bride, served the wedding cake. Tammy McCoy, sister of the groom, poured punch.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Aug. 27 at the Steak Barn.
On Aug. 15, Sandra Stone and Meredith Osterud held a lingerie shower at the home of Betty Sutton.
A bachelor limo party was held Aug. 7 in Raleigh.
Aug. 6 through 8, a bachelorette weekend was held in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The groom’s mothers and sister held a miscellaneous shower July 24 at their home.
On July 18, the May family held a tool and garden shower.
Co-workers of the bride held a pantry shower June 8.
