Cowley - Harris
SOUTHPORT — Dana Michelle Harris and Matthew Aaron Cowley of Goldsboro were wed July 31 at 5:30 p.m.
The Rev. Aaron Moss officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Southport Baptist Church.
Kyle and Bonnie Harris of Greensboro are parents of the bride.
Mary Ann Cowley of Goldsboro and Daniel and Elizabeth Cowley of Charleston, S.C., are parents of the groom.
The bride wore a strapless gown of princess satin with a Chantilly lace overlay and satin ribbon detail.
She carried a bouquet of white roses, lisianthus, calla lilies and Gloriosa lilies.
Jennifer McCray of Apex, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cindy White of Hampshire, Ill., sister of the bride, and Jerillyn Jennings of Apex, Jennifer McLamb of Charlotte, Erin Parsons of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Sarah Blake of Newark, Del., and Erin Kavanagh of Greensboro, friends ofthe bride.
Daniel Cowley was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Jason Allen and Dustin Anderson of Raleigh, Thomas Tuttle of Washington D.C., Michael Herring of Tallahassee, Fla., and Todd Basket of Nashville, Tenn., friends of the groom, and Chris Ryon of Washington D.C., cousin of the groom.
Honorary attendants were Cheryl Bruscino of Jamestown, cousin of the bride, and Carrie Moss of Charlotte, Joey Johnson of Wilmington and Andra Knight of Wrightsville Beach, friends of the bride.
Alex White of Hampshire, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Kathy Fogleman of Liberty, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Hanna Harris of Black Mountain, sister-in-law of the bride.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jane Reddick of Climax, family friend of the bride.
After a wedding trip to the Canary Islands and Spain, the couple is residing in Durham.
The bride is a graduate of Southeast Guilford High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communication. She is employed as marketing and communication manger for Octagon Entertainment Inc. of Chapel Hill.
The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School. He attended East Carolina University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He employed as a licensed broker for American Home Mortgage of Raleigh.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Southport Community Building.
