Smith - Franks
Erin Marie Franks and Micheal Robert Smith of Goldsboro were married July 16 at 3 p.m. at the courthouse.
Parents of the bride are J. Robert Franks and Sandra Tucker-Franks of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Peggy Tucker and Andrew Leon Tucker of Charlotte and the late John R. Franks and Adelia Maxine Franks of Indianapolis, Ind.
Robert Aaron Smith of Goldsboro and Brenda Faye Lamm of Wilson are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Aaron and Sally Smith of Dudley and the late Claude Lamm and Ruby Lamm of Wilson.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride carried a bouquet of purple silk flowers.
After a wedding trip to Wilmington, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Barton College with a double major in English, religion and philosophy and East Carolina University with a teacher’s certificate. She is employed as a ninth grade English teacher at Spring Creek School.
The groom is employed as a mechanic at Aaron Smith Trucking co.
