McNabb - Keen
Carrie Michelle Keen of Goldsboro and Steven Paul McNabb of Rosewood were married June 12 at 4:30 p.m.
Pastor Stephen Norris officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Linnie J. Keen of Rosewood and Billy Edward Dixon of LaGrange. She is the granddaughter of Barbara Bruner of Ocala, Fla., and Mary Dixon of LaGrange.
The groom is the son of Pam Ella Westbrook of Kinston and Stevie Lee McNabb of Rosewood and stepson of Diane McNabb and Claude Westbrook. He is the grandson of the late Martha Ellen McNabb, Charles and Vickie McCurdy and Luther Nute McNabb of Milan, Tenn., and the stepgrandson of Ruth Kendall of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white A-line gown with a chapel-length train and a shimmering chapel-length single-layer veil. The corset bodice had a split lace-up back with a gathered waist drape adorned with silver and crystal beaded embroidery.
She carried a bouquet of white stargazer lilies, roses, stock, astilbe and stephanotis with assorted greenery accented around the edge.
Maria Whitney of Raleigh, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Lindsey Glosson of Goldsboro, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Jonathan Fosland of Rosewood was his friend’s best man. Ushers were Scott Herring of Goldsboro and Corey Brian of Grantham, friends of the groom. Wesly Crocker of Cherry Point was the groomsman.
Family directed the ceremony. Lesley Roberts of Jackson, Tenn., and Leah Beth Crocker of Milan distributed programs.
Special helpers were the Rollins family, McNabb family, Westbrook family, Fosland family, Davis family, James Wiggins, Kim Cupples and Debbie Wilson.
A program of wedding music was provided by Debbie Bailey of Goldsboro, pianist, and Pastor Stephen Norris, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Garden City Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Dudley.
The bride attended the Wayne Community College adult high school program. She will attend dental assisting school. She is employed at Phenomenal Photography as a portrait consultant with DWR Inc. as a retail sales representative.
The groom attended Rosewood High School. He is employed as a refrigeration installation technician with Star Services and Sales Corp.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the McNabb home.
On April 18, a wedding shower was held at the Rollins home.
