Pinault - Bliss
Heather Nicole Bliss became the wife of Benjamin Scott Pinault June 12 at 6 p.m.
Dr. Bill Hufham officiated at the double-ring ceremony at First Presbyterian Church.
Parents of the bride are Michael Daniel and Judith Ann Bliss of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Charles Wesley Green of St. Clair, Mo., the late Franklin J. Bliss, Erma Jean Sturgess and Donald A. Sturgess of St. Louis, Mo., and the late Frances C. Colvin and Wilford E. Colvin of Ocala, Fla.
George Ernest and Kathleen Mary Pinault of Chester, N.H., are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Leo and Kathleen Arsenault of Reading, Mass., Lea Pinault of Hooksette, N.H., and the late George D. Pinault.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless silhouette gown with an organza overlay embellished with pearls and sequins on the bodice and a fishtail sweep train.
For her headpiece, she chose a tiara of crystal embellishments with a two-tiered cathedral- and elbow-length veil adorned with Austrian crystals and pearls. She carried a hand-tied clutch bouquet of red roses.
Danielle Marie Bliss, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Bliss, sister of the bride; Amber O’toole of St. Louis, cousin of the bride; and Ashley Holbrook of Lancaster, Pa., Kim Davis of Mount Olive and Natalie Ennis of Clayton, friends of the bride.
Mickey McDonough of Lancaster was his friend’s best man. Ushers were Jim Green and John Bliss of St. Louis, uncles of the bride, and Greg Brock of Grantham, Carl Turrone of Clayton and Brandon Hanzal of Fayetteville, friends of the couple. Groomsmen were George Pinault, father of the groom; Luke Pinault of Chester, Jeremy Pinault of Manchester, N.H., and Jason Pinualt of Auburn, N.H., brothers of the groom; and Daniel Gosney of St. Louis, cousin of the bride.
Sheah Tooley of Greenville was flower girl. Andrew O’toole of St. Louis, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Dean Barwick directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Dawn Marie Gosney, cousin of the bride.
Greeters were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Murphy. JoAnn Lee and John Bliss, godparents of the bride, lit the candles.
A program of wedding music was provided by Paul W. Cunningham, organist.
After a wedding trip to Key West, Fla., the couple will reside in Greenville.
The bride is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. She attends East Carolina University for a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed as a nutrition counselor with LA Weight Loss.
The groom graduated from Pinkerton Academy of New Hampshire and New Hampshire Technical Institute with a degree in criminal justice. He served in the Army as a combat medic with the 82nd Airborne Division. He is employed as an emergency medical technician with Johnston Ambulance Service.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dinner and dance reception at Walnut Creek Country Club. Greg and Leslie Ricker and Pat and Charlotte Murphy greeted guests. Danielle Marie Gosney presided at the gift table.
On June 11, the groom’s parents held a backyard barbecue.
Danielle Bliss and Katy Bliss, sisters of the bride, held a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 11 at the Royal Tea Rooms.
On May 22, Kim David, Natalie Ennis and Ashley Holbrook, friends of the bride, held a lingerie shower and bachelorette party at the home of Kim David and Natalie Ennis of Greenville.
The groom’s mother held a miscellaneous shower May 15 in Chester.
On May 1, a pig picking and honey-do shower were held at the home of Dean and Marston Barwick.
Jill Gosney and JoAnn Lee of St. Louis, aunts of the bride, held a couple’s shower at the Gosney home.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the home of the bride’s parents.
