PREP VOLLEYBALL: Goldsboro evens league record at 1-1

Riley Howell passed out a career-high 40 assists as Goldsboro outlasted Clinton 25-21, 13-25, 16-25, 25-22, 15-13 on the East Central 2-A Conference scene Thursday evening.
Hallie Brown led three Cougars in double figures with 12 kills. Amber Pfennig knocked down 11 kills, followed by Haley Phillips with 10.
Brown and Dyamond George supplied five and four blocks, respectively.
Goldsboro (6-2 overall, 1-1 ECC) is the guest of Wallace-Rose Hill next Tuesday.
