PREP GIRLS' TENNIS: C.B. Aycock knocks off South Central

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock continued its upward swing in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference play with a nail-biting 5-4 win over South Central on the Luke Vail Tennis Courts.
Abbie Shackleford, Laney Reeves, Grace Mooring and Elina Corrado each earned a singles point for the Golden Falcons. Shackleford and Corrado each won a third-set tiebreaker.
Shackleford-Mooring secured the outcome with a victory at No. 2 doubles.
"These girls were hungry for another win," CBA head coach Gene Stancil said.
