SOFTBALL: Princeton benefits from Rosewood mistakes

Defending state 1-A champion Princeton pushed across 13 unearned runs during its 19-1, mercy-rule triumph over Carolina 1-A Conference rival Rosewood on Thursday evening.
The Eagles committed six errors and yielded seven walks.
Kiandra Taylor led Rosewood with two hits. Kaitlyn Kincaid and Keelin Hunter contributed one hit apiece.
N.C. Wesleyan signee Beth Braswell belted a home run and ended the night 3-for-3 for the Bulldogs. Brianna Meyers and Casey Mitchell each pounded out three hits.
Megan Bryant and Emily Ricks each had two hits.
Rosewood entertains Hobbton on Tuesday.
