GIRLS' TRACK: Golden Falcons' Carter posts regional-qualifying mark

ROCKY MOUNT -- C.B. Aycock's Cyerra Carter shared first-place accolades in the long jump and qualified for the east 3-A regionals during the N.C. Runners Tour #2 Invitational ran at Rocky Mount High School.
Carter logged a distance of 16 feet, 31/2 inches. She grabbed second in the triple jump with a mark of 32-31/2.
Arlanda Faulkner secured third in the triple jump (32-2) and fourth in the long jump (15-11). Faulkner, Carter, Bre'onna Bryant and Taniah Sims combined for a third-place time of 1:54.82 in the 4x2 relay.
The same quartet finished eighth in the 4x1 relay.
Carter, Victoria Patnaude, Dymond Floyd and Sarah Gregory led the 4x8 relay to a fifth-place finish. Bryant was seventh overall in the 100 dash.
