D.H. Conley tops Eastern Wayne in ECC tennis

Sophomore Elizabeth Sutton and senior Brennan Dove accounted for Eastern Wayne's points in a 6-3 loss to D.H. Conley on the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference girls' tennis scene Tuesday afternoon.
Sutton, who sat out last season, handed the Vikings' Erin Chaney a 6-1, 6-1 loss at No. 1 singles. Dove, the No. 2 seed, worked for a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-3, 10-2 victory over Lauren Atkins.
Sutton-Dove defeated Chaney-Jenna Nichols 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.
The Warriors entertain county archrival Charles B. Aycock on Thursday.
